180 Degree Turn

Welp. What a week.
Last week I explained how my companion and I were struggling a bit...well after a nice 4 hour long (yeah you read that right)..4 hour long companionship intervention ha we are doing much, MUCH better. Definitely far from perfect, but there has been a great weight lifted from my shoulders this week and boy does it feel good.
We laughed this week. We talked this week. We actually worked together. Woo hoo!!! Folks, that is beautiful, glorious, long-awaited progress right there. :)

In other news for this week, the Genorga family were baptized on Saturday!!!
President and Sister Reeder, along with many branch members met at the chapel in Iriga for the baptism of this amazing family. It was a beautiful event to witness. They were confirmed members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and received the gift of the Holy Ghost yesterday in our sacrament meeting. Later that night we asked them how they felt and they described how they just felt "new," "clean," "clear thoughts." They said that when the Priesthood holders lay their hands on their head for their confirmation, that they literally felt power rushing from the men's hands, into their heads and through their whole bodies. Wow. It was really a neat experience to hear their thoughts and feelings about their baptism. I am so grateful to be a part of their conversion. It is my favorite to see people's conversion from the first time they meet the missionaries until their baptism to see the entire conversion begin. It is amazing! I love being a missionary so much. On that note, last night we taught them about the Tree of Life and they explained that the feeling Lehi had is the same feeling they have right now, that they just want to share this with everyone! Exactly! That is how we should all feel! This is the truth! The most sweetest, purest, delicious fruit and we should desire to share it with all our brothers and sisters!

I know this is the true gospel and that it changes lives. correction: not just lives, but this changes salvation. our forever happiness all rests right here in the truth, the gospel of Jesus Christ. :) Speak up and share it with everyone!

Love you all! :)
