Mission Call

I received my call on May 8th, 2013. I was called to serve a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Philippines Naga Mission speaking Tagalog! I report to the Provo MTC on August 28th! Only 23 days from today! This summer has seriously flown by. I received my call at the beginning of my spring term at BYU, finished up the term, said goodbye to good ol' Provo (for a solid 2 months or so) then headed home to Virginia! WHOOT WHOOT! I must say the Philippines never even crossed my mind of somewhere I would serve my mission. Being the crazy, analytical person that I am, I thought that I had every possibility of where I could serve laid out...welp, I was wrong, to say the least. It is truly amazing how Heavenly Father knows us each so well and knows exactly what we need. Never thought it would be the Philippines, but sure enough, as soon as I read that beautiful letter from the Prophet I knew that was exactly where I needed to go. It has been an insane/wonderful experience so far learning about my mission, studying the scriptures, and in general preparing to go serve The Lord and the people of the Philippines. I am so excited and feel unbelievably blessed for this opportunity to go and bring others to the gospel of Jesus Christ!
